Everything on this site is published for education and public discussion. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or genealogical certification, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind.

No claims processing

We do not verify or certify anyone's lineage and we do not process reparations claims. There is no federal reparations program to file a claim against. H.R. 40, if enacted, would create a study commission and would not authorize payments. Be careful with anyone who tells you otherwise and asks for money.

Accuracy and corrections

We work to a published sourcing standard and every figure carries a source and a year. Data changes, statutes change, and litigation is ongoing. If you find an error, send it with a source and we will correct it.

We link to government archives, courts and research institutions. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their availability.
